A Word From DriveSafe Online About COVID-19

Our world is currently in a state of flux. Less than one month ago, most of us never considered phrases like “abundance of caution,” “self isolation,” and “social distancing.” Now, they dominate our daily conversations.

At DriveSafe Online, we are doing what we can to keep our network of team members safe. As our understanding of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, so does our response strategy.

According to the CDC, the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus.

To help slow the rate of infection and flatten the curve, the majority of our employees now take advantage of the company work-from-home plan.

We also follow the recommended requirement to avoid large group gatherings.

Plus, we encourage every employee to follow the CDC guidelines for disease control and prevention including:

  • Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds multiple times daily
  • Using hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoiding hand-to-face touching to keep germs from entering the body
  • Covering mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently used surfaces

As offices, restaurants, and schools continue to announce closing dates, much of our daily routines and schedules look drastically different than they did last month, last week, and even last night.

Different, however, does not have to be a negative experience.

CDC health experts emphasize the importance of maintaining regular routines to help us cope with the changes brought on by the coronavirus disease.

Although several physical locations may be out of our reach for a while, advancements in technology make it possible for many of us to continue working, learning, and (with the right app) enjoying our favorite meals in the comfort of our own homes.

Take this time to move your weekly staff meeting online. Tour the world’s best museums online. Or complete an online defensive driving course to help you become a better driver when you are ready to hit the road again.

The challenges we face today will not last if we all do our part to keep our family, friends, and neighbors protected and safe.

Take care,

The DriveSafe Online team
